Metallic floors and a giant red glass structure were the scenario of the Serpentine Gallery summer party, this Thursday in Kensigton Garden, London, the coolest soirée in Europe this season. The party gathered artists and musicians to fashionistas and high society.
* Among the many faces around the place were Grace Jones, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Lily Cole, Charlotte Dellal and Maxim Crewe, British actress Claire Forlani, Zaha Hadid, Alice Temperley, Rolling Stone Bill Wyman and Matthew Williamson.
* Between glasses of champagne, the guests had fun at the ping-pong and chess tables, also red, all over the place. Excited with the game, designer Alice Temperley talked about her competitivity: “I can beat my husband, I’m great at chess and I play to win”.
