For the second year in a row, Anna Wintour puts into action the mega plan to keep shops open late at night, create fashion happenings and to attract celebrities to fashionable addresses. This year’s Fashion’s Night Out starts on September 7th in England and ends on September 16th in Greece and Turkey. The day scaled for New York is on September 10th, the second day of fashion week there.
* The calendar has grown and holds curious attractions. Starting with the Lincoln Center in New York, which receives the largest fashion show ever made in the city, filled with the autumn-winter 2010/2011 pieces that will be arriving in stores. Barneys reserved a space for a karaoke contest to be judged by the Olsen twins.
* Another dispute is the night of ping pong: Barneys and Bloomingdale’s will hold a competition among fashionistas. Among the confirmed pairs are the designers Rag & Bone, and in the audience are expected designers Michael Kors and John Varvatos. The dogs of selection of designers will star a canine parade at Bergdorf Goodman – Victoria Beckham, Tom Ford and Jason Wu have already secured their invitations. There is room for tango lessons by Lancome’s counter with models Elettra Wiedemann with and Arlenis Sosa. What a schedule!
