Following in the footsteps of the partnership between H&M and Lanvin, another fast fashion store joined forces with a maison. Yes, Gap has announced a partnership with Valentino for a capsule collection for the women’s department that will be launched in November. The line will be designer by Valentino’s creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli.
* The designers will take iconic Gap pieces and give them a touch of high fashion. Initially, this collection will be sold at Gap stores in Milan and London, Colette in Paris and Rome – that’ll open in 2011. But there are still no plans for selling these pieces in the United States.
