Models that meet and change clothes on the runway in less than a second, as if by magic. Can you imagine the scene? For it was what Burberry took to China this week in a mega fashion show celebrating the brand’s new flagship store in Beijing. Show was a mix of virtual and real, with perfect looking holograms that made models disappear, multiply and even float on the public.
* It was an event for a thousand people at the Beijing Television Center, which showcased the brand’s winter 2011 collection, while the British band Keane performed alongside the catwalk. Christopher Bailey, creative director, was also there when the real models and finished the show, and he gave a quick nod, very proud of the accomplishment.
