There’s no stopping James Franco. Oscar host, Oscar nominee (as best actor for the movie 127 Hours) and directing two productions, he’s now being considered for the lead in the sequel of The Wizard of Oz. Before him, Robert Downey Jr. And Johnny Depp had been offered the job, but they both said no. Now it’s time for Franco to study Sam Raimi’s offer, with whom he had previously worked with in Spiderman 3.
* The movie is a sequel to Disney’s classic, called Oz, the Great and Powerful. It will tell the story of a young wizard who’s caught by surprise by a tornado as he’s flying his hot air balloon and accidentally ends up in Oz. Will Franco take the role?
