Behind the scenes of Hollywood, the run for the 2011 Oscars has begun. Among the names being considered for a nomination for best supporting actor, one of the highlights is… Justin Timberlake! That’s right, the singer, who started in show biz as a member of the Mickey Mouse Club, appealed to journalists who attended a special screening of "The Social Network” in Los Angeles. In the movie, JT interprets the entrepreneur Sean Parker.
* Sean is considered one of the greatest wonders of Silicon Valley, responsible for creating popular sites like Napster, extinct in 2001. He is also linked to the rapid growth of Facebook, a site which he presided.
* Soon after taking over a job there in 2004, one of Sean’s first decisions was restrict the powers of Brazilian Eduardo Saverin, a co-founder of the Face. Saverin’s report was the basis for the book that resulted in "The Social Network" movie.
* Needless to say that Timberlake is basically playing an unscrupulous villain…
