The sea straight to the art galleries. The surfer brothers Fernando and Ricardo Whately Mattar are starting a new career, that of cultural producers. The first shows of the siblings, who are fans of Vincent van Gogh, opens on Thursday at the Espaço Sala. It’s called “Tabu” ("Taboo"), with works by the artist as well as tattoo artist Davi Escobar.
* About his works, Fernando said: "We went to an exhibition of Davi, in Florianópolis, and we were very impressed by his pictures with portraits of people from the 20s and 30s covered in tattoos."
* Oh, and the boys are Charlô’s nephews. Their caterer uncle will cater – and of course attend – the opening cocktail party. Cool!
