Several elements made an impression on the guests who attended Patricia Viera’s fashion show on Monday – the first of the Fashion Business, a Carioca event that will happen parallel to Fashion Rio – but that has nothing to do with the one organized by Paulo Borges. Starting with Vera Andrade’s apartment, where Patricia’s show took place, a three-floor penthouse on Ipanema Beach, which has belonged to the Andrade family for 30 years. FYI: The place’s first resident was the former president Juscelino Kubitschek.
* The guest list was also an attraction in and of itself, beginning with Patricia’s sister, Andrea Dellal, beautiful in a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier, and niece Charlotte Dellal, who held her unfailing banana-bag. "It’s always a pleasure to see my aunt’s creations. She is very special."
* Who else was there? Daniella Sarahyba and her mother-in-law, Rosa Klabin, Vanda Klabin, Flávia Sampaio – Eike Batista’s girlfriend -, Fabíola Cabral, Betina de Luca, Julia Monteiro de Carvalho – beautiful in Prada – Julio Rego, Claudio Gomes with his brother, the top plastic surgeon Carlos Fernando Gomes de Almeida, Regina Casé, Ângela Vieira, Renata Ceribelli and many more.
* To add to the list of items made to impress, an innovation of Patricia stood out in the collection: the embroidery on leather. "I always like to go further and propose new ideas. I found myself an expert, Elizabeth Faria, from Belo Horizonte, and we embroidered various looks. The embroiderers, poor things, have hurt their fingers working so hard," said Patricia. But all that effort paid off, because what we saw on the catwalk was couture leather. "I was inspired by pop stars … Michael Jackson was one of them, and even Justin Bieber came to mind. I loved the jackets he wore on his trip to Brazil," she said. Glamurama loved it!
