The 53rd Grammy Awards in the United States paid tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, and to add an air of royalty to the ceremony, a Lady was the star of the evening. No, we’re not talking Lady Gaga, but the band Lady Antebellum, big the night’s big winner, with five statuettes – including song of the year, record of the year and best country album.
* Gaga wasn’t left out of the awards, taking three Grammys – best pop vocal album, best female pop vocal performance and best video for "Bad Romance." She also got the chance to debut her new single, "Born This Way," in a performance full of eccentricities. She even put an egg onstage. The night’s top award, album of the year, went to Arcade Fire, who beat both Eminem and Lady Gaga.
* In fact, Eminem’s favoritism – he was nominated for ten statuettes – wasn’t confirmed by the Recording Academy of America. The bad boy only took two awards home. Another highlight of the evening was Mick Jagger’s performance. Glamurama will show you the best red carpet looks soon. Stay tuned!
