After several weeks of negotiations, the Spanish group Puig finally acquired control over Jean-Paul Gaultier, buying 45% of the shares that belonged to Hermès International, and 15% which were in the hands of Gaultier. The designer is as of now the minority shareholder of the maison which he founded in the late 1970s, with 40% of the shares. The deal was not disclosed, but, of course, it must involve some tens of millions of euros.
