After a long courtship, LVMH has finally succeeded in convincing the French family that controls Hermès to sell a stake of 14.2% in the company, for approximately $ 2 billion. The Hermès family will remain the majority shareholder of the company, controlling more than 70% of the shares, but the conglomerate of Bernard Arnault didn’t rule out the possibility of changing this situation in future.

 

* With more than $ 10 billion in cash and a growing disinterest business by multiple heirs of Hermès, some say that could happen very soon.
