The documentary “Sobre Futebol e Barreiras" ("On Football and Barriers"), which opens on Saturday at the International Film Festival of São Paulo, proposes a new look at the conflict between Israel and Palestine, with the World Cup as background.
* Made by four Brazilians, Arturo Hartmann, João Carlos Assumpção, José Teles de Menezes and Lucas Justiniano, the production was filmed during the World Cup in South Africa in 2010 and promotes discussions of identity embedded in the conflict at a time when Israelis and Palestinians followed and related to the biggest sporting event in the world.
