After debuting in U.S. theaters in April with ticket sales of US$ 40 million, and that’s just in one weekend, the animation "Rio" broke another record this week. The super-production directed by Carlos Saldanha, which has just been released on DVD and Blu-ray in the U.S., sold no less than 2.5 million copies in just six days.

* According to data from 20th Century Fox, this was the best performance for a movie "for the whole family" released on DVD in August of all times. Not to mention that "Rio" continues to be the 12th top film in theaters around the Northern Hemisphere, with a total income of US$ 480 million, proof that Saldanha is, by far, the most successful Brazilian in Hollywood .
