This weekend, Contardo Calligaris told Glamurama that in addition to launching the second novel, he’s celebrating the fact that his first book, "O Conto do Amor” (The Tale of Love), is becoming a movie soon. The director Marcus Baldini made an offer, and Contardo readily accepted. The screenplay is being written by Jose Carvalho, who partnered with Marcus in "Bruna Surfistinha," a movie that Contardo actually loved. "I’ve thought of someone who could make Carlo, the protagonist, but couldn’t tell you because we haven’t talked to him yet,” he teases.
* The film is due out only in 2013, since the three have not yet decided whether it will be filmed in English or Portuguese, which would change the whole conception. "So we’re not even thinking of actors or anything," he concludes.
