A competition to sign the project for Instituto Moreira Salles’ new headquarters is making great architects of Sao Paulo in an uproar. Offices such as UNA, Andrade Morettin Bernardes + Jacobsen, Angelo Bucci’s SPBR and Marcio Kogan’s StudioMK27, in addition of a sixth name, compete to design the new Institute, which will occupy the land where nowadays there’s a parking lot in the intersection between Paulista and Consolation Avenues. Everything very hush-hush, of course.
