Downtown Rio was stage to a very lively event this Tuesday, due to the premiere of the documentary “Planet Ocean” by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Michael Pitiot at Cine Odeon, in Rio. The reason? In addition to the presence of the global CEO of deluxe watch brand Omega, Stephen Urquhart, the main supporter of the documentary, Prince Albert of Monaco was also in the audience of the film. So there was security everywhere! “It’s also a movie about humans, since it dealssome species in the world and we are nothing more than one among many others,” said Yann about his documentary that portrays the damage that human activity is causing to the oceans.

Glamurama, of course, also had a little chat with Stephen, to find out Omega’s plans for Brazil. “Brazil is one of our most important markets, especially now with the Olympics, since we are officially in charge of the timekeeping of all Olympic sports. We will open stores here and invest heavily in the country,” said Stephen, in his second stint in the city. “I went to Sugar Loaf Mountain in the morning and I was amazed,” he said.
