The recent advances of several fashion companies in the stock market continue to cause buzz Italy. In his weekly column in the newspaper "Corriere della Sera", designer Armani mentioned the subject again, saying he doesn’t need alliances with anyone, much less other people’s moneyto manage his empire.

* The CEO of Tod’s group, Diego Della Valle, disagrees with Armani. In an interview for "Corriere", he is quoted to have “launched his shares on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in a well orchestrated operation, of global visibility," said the executive, who believes in the benefits of public offerings. "It’s good for everybody, including the country, living a moment of crisis. Armani should do the same instead of criticizing everyone," said Della Valle.
