John Galliano, one of the first British to take on the direction of a French maison, was tribute by the government of France this week, in Paris. President Nicolas Sarkozy gave the stylist a medal and named him the country’s Chevalier of the Legion of Honor.

* At the small ceremony were also Bernard Arnault, president of LVMH and Kate Moss, who told the portal “WWD” that Galliano was the one who taught her how to walk, when she was 14 years old.
