North-American presenter Larry King, who worked for 25 years on CNN, the TV station, announced this Tuesday he is going to step down from his talk show at the end of the year. “I talked to the guys here at CNN and I told them I would like to end Larry King Live, the nightly show, this fall,” he said, right before starting the show.
* King said that this decision will give him more time with his wife and kids. According to the station, he did more than 40 thousand interviews along his 50 years of career. “I am incredibly proud to have recently made it to the book of records for having the longest running show with the same host in the history of television,” he affirmed.
* About the end of the show he added: “Closing this chapter, I look into my future and think about what’s coming next but, right now, it’s time to hang up my nightly suspenders”, he said, referring to his trademark.
