The well-known drawings of monkeys and parrots of artist Zé Pedro de Oliveira Costa – architect, professor at FAU-USP and former Environment Secretary of São Paulo – became incredible mosaics in glass and ceramic pads. There are 35 panels made by Mosaic artist Eliana Raposo in partnership with Zé Pedro.
* But why monkeys and parrots? "The preference for monkeys comes from the Buddhist teaching of honoring your ancestors, and monkeys are the true ancestors of man," says Zé Pedro. Parrots, on the other hand, are worthy representatives of the Brazilian colors and joy, are also a tribute that the São Paulo born Zé Pedro paid to Zé Carioca. The exhibition is in Mercearia São Roque from November 21 to 27!
