A new book about the influence of celebrities is making the rounds in the northern hemisphere. The work in question is "Starstruck," written by Professor Elizabeth Currid-Halkett, who teaches at the University of Southern California. One of the most controversial points of the book involves the editrix Anna Wintour, who, according to Elizabeth, is the best related celebrity in the world.
* "Anna is more connected than anyone else with the stars of first magnitude, and many feel intimidated by it," says Elizabeth, who credited the success of the fashionist, among other things, the fact that she rarely can be seen in Los Angeles, "a city that doesn’t influence positively the prestige industry," she said. As LA is also the city with the highest concentration of stars per square feet, this proves that the big stars are going to Anna, and not vice versa. Really?
