As if it weren’t enough the beautiful alleys of the Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro and Teatro Tom Jobim, one of the coolest theaters in the city, which opened there a few years ago, the area now has just gotten a smaller stage than its older “sibling.” Located in the former joinery of the Garden, Novo Tom will be dedicated to music.
* Tono, a group which has Bem Gil in its formation, was responsible for opening the new stage and will remain there every Tuesday until the end of the month. Next week they’ll perform with Preta Gil, and on their last performance, Bem’s father, Gilberto Gil, will perform with his son’s band for the first time. Make sure to check out Novo Tom’s program, because very cool things are going to happen over there!
