Not all designers get their inspiration from happy things. Kimberly Ovitz, for example, was inspired the curves in Oscar Niemeyer’s work, especially in Brasilia, after a friend of hers died in Brazil.
* This loss prompted her to start doing research about our country. She presented her collection and several jersey dresses at New York’s Pace Gallery, this weekend. The designer channeled the curves of Niemeyer and created pieces that are sext and short. Layered sweaters, loose lapels and maxi-sweat shirts are also present. Take a look:
