Marc Jacobs will get an exhibition. Les Arts Décoratifs, a part of Musée de La Mode et du Textile du Louvre, is setting a retrospective of the work of the Louis Vuitton designer. According to the museum’s curator, Pamela Golbin, two distinct historical periods will be shown: the industrial revolution, represented by the birth of Louis Vuitton; and the globalization of fashion, symbolized by the entry of the American designer in the creative direction of the brand. The exhibition will begin in 2011, and you will also be able to see historical pieces of the fashion house founded in 1854. A must see, isn’t it?
