To Aerin Lauder, it’s not enough to be the heir and an executive of one of the largest cosmetic empires in the world. She has announced plans to resign as senior vice president and creative director of Estee Lauder to devote herself to a lifestyle brand that will include clothes, accessories, jewelry and even a home line.
* Since she is a good executive, Aerin is hiring a heavyweight team to help her in this new enterprise. She called Jeff Zucker, the former president of NBC Universal studio, and Ebs Burnough, who was part of the White House staff. Even mighty Anna Wintour was scheduled to give advice to the project. So it’s got everything to work, right?
