Monday morning, Ricardo Teixeira announced he was quitting the CBF and COL – Local Organizing Committee of the 2014 World Cup. His successor will be Jose Maria Marin, who read the letter of resignation in the morning. In the letter, Ricardo says he’ll focus on his health and his family, but is still available to continue "collaborating with Brazilian soccer."

* At the end of last year, Teixeira appointed Andres Sanches, current president of Corinthians, to whom he’s very close, as director of selections, and former player Ronaldo was placed a COL adviser.
