Glamurama spent the afternoon in the O2 studios checking out a very special special performance led by Fernando Meirelles. The reason? The “Floresta Faz a Diferença” ("Forest Makes a Difference") campaign, which aims to draw senators’ attention to vote to the New Forest Code, which takes place at the end of the month.

* There we watched the videos that Wagner Moura – you can check out his below -, Gisele Bundchen, Marcos Palmeira, Felipe Camargo and Victor Fasano, just to name a few, recorded on their own phones or webcams, speaking directly to the senators. "In ten days, several people joined the cause. Starting Friday, we’ll send each senator all the videos that were made," says Fernando.

* The filmmaker is really tuned in to the case. "I have a farm, I plant coffee and sugar cane and I know the importance of land. The code that congressmen have already approved clears those who didn’t respect the law before 2008 of guilt, and allow things that are proven harm to the ecosystem," he said.

* Also there, chef Alex Atala took the time to record his own video: "I’ve been to the Amazon several times, I took the greatest chefs in the world there and I want my children to enjoy all that wealth. This is a cause of the utmost importance, not only to preserve what we still have, but also to recover degraded areas," he said.
