Macy’s, the U.S. giant retailer, has surrendered to the green wave. The company announced a series of measures to become more sustainable, starting with the exchange of some 300 million hangers in their stores – which are clear plastic, containing petroleum-based resins – for recycled plastic models, until April next year.
* In addition, the company will install approximately 280 000 LED bulbs in 200 units, increase the use of solar power in stores and create a campaign to encourage consumers to request electronic invoices instead of printed. A good example for companies in Brazil, right?
