After announcing his latest venture – a bookstore – the designer Marc Jacobs has just draw another card from his sleeve. He is expected to launch next week, another book about his career. Dubbed "The Men + Women of Marc Jacobs” the publication has about 150 images from Marc employees, photographed by Brian Bowen Smith on unconventional scenes. The photos show the usual routine of the people who make the Marc Jacobs one of the most desired brands in the world.
* Inspired by a family album, the book will get simultaneous release in both 415 and 417 Bleecker Street stores. Brian has been collecting images for three and a half years, always travelling with the company to the open of a new store or a product release. "This book is not about the clothes or the style sold by Marc, after all he publishes one of these every six months and it’s best known as a catalog. This is a rare material and we want to show that there is life behind all these creations," says the photographer to "WWD."
* The price hasn’t been disclosed yet. The book is due to arrive here in 2011. Be prepared!
