The star of this Thursday night in Rio was the Spanish actress Marisa Paredes, one of Pedro Almodovar’s muses, who, as we reported, came to launch the director’s new film, "A Pele Que Habito." Beautiful in a red dress and very high heels, Marisa seemed really glad to be in Rio.

* The actress arrived in the country on Wednesday, and will stay here until the end of the festival, on October 18, in Copacabana. "I love Rio and Brazil. I’ve been here in other editions of the Festival and as a tourist as well. I know several states and have many friends here. I was surprised to run into Caetano here, for example. I expected to bump into him in New York or even in Spain, but never on a red carpet in Rio!

* What about working with Almodovar? "He represents the most beloved, controversial, and current figure in democratic Spain. It was with the arrival of freedom that Pedro could come and give us the these wonderful movies. In fact, some better, some worse, but only such a great artist can make a mistake," said Marisa before adding that she never leaves the same person after filming with Almodovar. "I always leave with feelings for life, with feelings for being," he added.
