Last week, John Galliano was involved in a hell of a mess at café La Perle in Paris. Accused of verbally assaulting some clients with anti-Semitic comments, the designer was approached by local police and taken to the police station, where he remained for nearly two hours before being released.
* It just so happens that this Monday the British newspaper The Sun released a very polemic video, which can ruin once and for all Galliano’s chances of returning to his position of creative director of Dior – he was suspended from his job on Friday. The video, recorded on a cell phone days before the incident, shows John drunk, saying things like "I love Hitler" and "you should be dead" to a group of Italians who were in the cafe. The maison has made no comments, much less John’s personal reps. That’s crazy!
