In the early ’90s, as star of the movie "Bete Balanço," Debora Bloch faced a catwalk alongside the top models at the time. "It was horrible," confesses the actress – one of the most beautiful on Glamurama’s party, which shook up Londra, in Rio, a few weeks ago.
* Kind of hippie in the early ’80s, as she defines her style at the time, she thought to follow fashion was square. "People were more irreverent, transgressive. Being fashionable was a thing of ‘Valley Girls’. Our generation was more alternative, more connected to theater, art and dance. And besides, at that time, I think that fashion didn’t have the strength it does today. We really were hippies. I’m not saying it in a derogatory way, but in a nice way," she says. For Debora Bloch, fashion has to be taken in a fun way. "It can’t be a weight, or turn into a commitment or concern," she reflects. The actress, who used and abused of citrus colors, high waists and shoulder pads, just didn’t succumbed to the balloon skirts: "In fashion, I’ll only wear what looks good on me.”
* For MODA magazine, already on newsstands, Debora said she hates going out to buy clothes. Plus, the redhead thinks repeating clothes is chic. "My pieces are good to be repeated! I find it very tacky this thing about disposable clothing," said the actress.
* When the magazine asked what was elegant for her, Debora didn’t hesitate: "Politeness. A rude person is so ungraceful, so inelegant …", sentenced. "It’s not the outfit that provides elegance to a person, it’s a person’s attitude that provides elegance to the outfit," summed up Debora.
* She still says she thinks specifically about comfort when getting dressed. "When I’m making a soap, I don’t wear rings, earrings, watches, nothing. In my day-to-day, I can’t think too much about clothes, I don’t have time. If I’m not recording, I’m always in yoga or pilates clothes. I live in jeans, sneakers, shoes, and T-shirt," she says.
* The conversation with the magazine also reveals who invades whose wardrobe in Debora’s home: Do you think she borrows her daughter’s clothes or is it the other way around? Hurry to the newsstand and get a copy!
