After 18 months, involving 15 people and 30.000 files scanned – including images, videos, texts and the like -, Gilberto Gil can finally say that he has all his artistic and personal history cataloged permanently. The idea came from Paulo Jobim, of Antonio Carlos Jobim Institute, who’s responsible for the digital collection of his father, Tom, Dorival Caymmi, Lúcio Costa and Chico Buarque.

* The coolest thing? Anyone can access all this material from the Institute’s website. And to celebrate this great news, Gil will do what he does best: sing. He takes the stage at the Teatro Tom Jobim, at the Botanical Gardens, on Wednesday to present the show BandaDois. In addition to giving a musical overview, he will also share the stage with his son, Bem Gil.
