Here is the news: the life of Gilberto Gil will be turned into movie, and a good one to boot! Swiss director Pierre-Yves Borgeaud is here at Expresso 2222 Cabin, continuing to shoot the film, which began on Thursday.
* The documentary will follow a chronological order and, of course, it all starts here in Gil’s birthplace. Then the movie goes on a journey through the Amazon, South Africa and Australia, hence the name "South Connection." The movie will be shot for 30 days, and will show interviews and concerts. But hold your horses, glamurette, the documentary will only be ready at the beginning of next year!
* Oh, and for the record, Pierre-Yves Borgeaud is the director of "Retour à Gorée," a very cool documentary about Youssou N’Dour.
