After all the suspense, Chelsea Clinton finally walked the aisle. Dressed in a strapless curvy dress, signed by Vera Wang, and with a bouquet of white hydrangeas, she joined arms with her father, Bill Clinton, to marry Marc Mezvinsky, in a ceremony that will be forever in America’s history. Thrilled, the former president said that bringing his daughter to the altar was a great accomplishment for him. Hillary Clinton chose an outfit signed by her friend Oscar de la Renta.
* Considered wedding of the year by the international press, the party held in the small town of Rhinebeck, was attended by 500 guests, including fashion designer Vera Wang, who helped the bride prepare for the event. The ceremony was done on the groom’s side, by Rabbi James Ponet and on the bride’s side by Reverend Methodist William Shillady.
* One of the most special moments was the first dance, with song by Frank Sinatra, when the radiant and emotional bride danced with her father.
* Right after the party, the Clintons sent out a press release: "Today we saw with great pride and excitement, Chelsea and Marc get married in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to celebrate the beginning of their life together, and we are very happy to welcome Marc to our family ".
