Oskar Metsavaht landed in New York for the BrazilFoundation gala dinner this Friday. The entrepreneur took the chance to stop by the opening of the exhibition of Rodolpho Parigi and Rose Klabin in Brooklyn, and chatted with Glamurama. The latest news? A new store in Buenos Aires and yet another one in Japan – the third, actually. "It seems like the Japanese liked it," he joked.
* Oskar is also meeting his daughter, who is studying in Los Angeles and is in town until Wednesday. Then he’s going straight to Paris, where he’ll check out the French Fashion Week, and back to New York three days later. In his schedule, more art: a visit to MoMA to check out a retrospective of Willem de Kooning, which opens on Saturday. Oskar also said that his favorite neighborhood is SoHo.
* In fact, he likes to stop by the Osklen stores in the area and spend some time there, observe the movement. "I like to watch the customers, their likes and dislikes," he said. New York, indeed, is one of the cities that make up his favorite triad the world, alongside Tokyo and Paris, not to mention his beloved Rio de Janeiro, of course.
