Following Oprah Winfrey’s footsteps, Martha Stewart may also launch her own television channel. The diva of the housewives is negotiating, with Crown Media, the holding that controls the Hallmark channel, a sort of joint venture, which can result in the launching of The Martha Stewart channel in 2012.
* In the beginning, Martha is entitled to show at Hallmark, all the shows produced by her company, the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, which goes to 90 million homes in the US – against the 70 million homes from the Oprah´s channel.
In case the partnership succeeds, which is quite likely, Martha will be able to take control of the station.
* To whom it may concern, MSLO´s earnings should be around US$400 million in 2010. Martha Stewart’s products sold by Kmart already exceeded US$ 1 billion since January, and the Martha Stewart Living magazine will be launched soon, in countries like Australia, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand.
