Oskar Metsavaht’s Osklen is undergoing changes. It appears that an European or Brazilian group will acquire the brand in the coming months. For those who do not remember, the PPR group, of Francois-Henri Pinault, showed interest in the Brazilian company in 2010, and it seems that the talks have not grown cold.
* "As it has been happening with other companies in this business over the past two years, not surprisingly Osklen has also been approached by investors interested in a partnership. At the moment, Oskar Metsavaht is in the process of evaluating proposals from three distinct groups, one from Europe, one from the US and one from Brazil, having nothing further to declare at the moment," says the official statement.
* Oskar, incidentally, is in Paris and should be back to Brazil next Sunday. According to sources, the company has no expansion plans, ie, no new store outside the country should be open until at least 2013.
