Angelina Jolie’s plans to become a movie director will finally come true. And moving behind the cameras doesn’t mean Angelina intends to leave humanitarian issues aside. Titled "In the Land of Blood and Honey", the movie is already considered controversial because it tells the story of a Serb man and a Bosnian woman who fall in love during a conflict between the two countries. The war in question actually took place and claimed the lives of 100,000 people.

* "The film illustrates the consequences of the lack of political will to intervene in a society ruled by conflict. It’s inspired specifically in the Bosnian War, but it’s also universal," said the director. The production is scheduled to debut on Dec. 23 in the U.S., just in time to compete for the Oscar 2012. Smart this Angelina, isn’t she?
