Culturettes must be really excited… All because Pina Bausch Tanztheater Wuppertal, one of the most important dance companies in the world, arrives in Brazil in the coming days. The group, founded by legendary Pina Bausch, is scheduled for five performances at Teatro Alfa, between April 14 and 19, and the reason for so much hype is an unprecedented choreography, called "Ten Chi," the group will premiere here.

* The show is the latest in a series called choreographic travelogues – heavily influenced by the place it was created, in this case, Japan. There will be 17 dancers on stage with a soundtrack composed by various artists and texts by authors such as Brecht and Saramago.

* Robert Sturm, who has been working at the company since 1999, took over artistic direction after the Pina’s death, next to dancer Dominique Mercy. If it’s up to them, the presentation should be breathtaking. Doubters?
