While in the U.S. everyone speculates whether or not Anna Wintour will leave her post in Vogue, France still holds the editor to the highest regards. So much so that Anna is on a list of people chosen by President Nicolas Sarkozy to receive the Legion d’Honneur, the French government’s highest decoration, established by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1802.
* The award ceremony will take place this year. Giorgio Armani and Karl Lagerfeld are among the fashionistas who have recently received the honor. We bow to them.
