This is a Glamurama exclusive: José Padilha’s "Tropa de Elite 2" will premiere in the American market inNovember. FYI, the movie is a leading contender to represent Brazil in the fight for an Oscar in 2012. The final name, chosen by a Special Committee which includes members of the Ministry of Culture, the Brazilian Association of Cinematography and the Brazilian Academy of Cinema, will be announced Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro. Padilha’s film, unfolding of the life of the BOPE’s Captain Nascimento, will premiere in New York, on November 10. Keeping an eye, of course, on the possibility of being chosen to try a place among the five finalists fighting for the statuette.
