In the midst of an economic crisis in the United States, president Barack Obama turns 50 on Wednesday. Glamurama, of course, already has the script of the celebration: a party at the White House and then spend the weekend with his family at Camp David, in Maryland.

* Not one to slack Obama spent the morning working. In the afternoon, the presidential staff members will toast him at a reception in the Blue Room of the White House. In the evening, Barack will celebrate with family and friends, including some who should travel from Chicago especially for the occasion.

* In time: an employee wished to make clear that the president will pay the costs of his birthday party.
