Wednesday evening centered around one of the most stylish and authentic Italian women in the world: Giovanna Battaglia. The stylist, daughter in law of Carine Roitfeld, came to Brazil at the invitation of Carla Amorim and was the star on the reopening Carla’s jewelry store at Iguatemi shopping mall. Glamurama, of course, was there to report the juiciest details of the cocktail party, which began around eight o’clock.

* The first to arrive was Carla’s sister, Kelly Amorim, counting down the hours for the arrival of little Isabel – Kelly is the eighth month pregnant. Kelly looked beautiful in a long Missoni and jewelry from her sister. The guests, as Didi Wagner, Carlos Jereissati Filho, Zize Zinke, Ana Garcia and João Paulo Diniz, among others, gradually started to arrive and at 9:30 p.m., Giovanna made her triumphal entrance and inevitably attracted the attention of everyone there.

* Wearing a very short bright white Dolce & Gabbana dress, charming Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Sara Battaglia purse – her sister’s brand – and black diamond earrings and rings by Carla Amorim, the girl was the personification of charm. To tell the truth, Giovanna is beautiful. Thin, delicate, with natural straight brown hair and smooth, flawless skin and little makeup, she told us that even though this is her first time here in Brazil, she already feels at home. The day’s schedule was hectic. Giovanna had lunch at Mani and said she loved the food: "I had a wonderful fish and yesterday I had dinner at restaurant of Fasano hotel, where I’m staying, and it was also wonderful."

* Carla Amorim arrived shortly after the star of the night, wearing Roberto Cavalli. She said inviting Giovanna was an easy choice. "The collection is inspired by Italy and Giovanna epitomizes the chic Italian woman. She is beautiful, full of bossa and it was wonderful working with her," she said. In fact, Carla was wearing pink feldspar stone earrings, which were the most praised by Giovanna. "I wasn’t familiar with that rock and fell in love," said the Italian woman.

* The jewels of this collection are to die for. We loved the sparkling morganite earrings, called Giardino, and another pair in gold and black diamonds, Cinema. Oh, and if you think the night was over at about half past ten, you better think again. The whole gang went to Bar Numero … We’ll tell you all about it soon!
