This Thursday will go down in the history of American TV as the end of an era, literally. On December 16, 2010 Larry King says goodbye to television. The famous CNN interviewer, 77, decided to retire after 25 years on the air.
* The retirement was announced in June, when CNN aired a tribute to the presenter. Since then, the channel has been preparing the public to receive Piers Morgan, who got the slot and will also lead a talk show.
* Despite this recognition, the farewell feels somewhat melancholy. Larry, who used to be the leader in the ratings, today has been battling between the third and fourth place in the time slot.
