This weekend has been one of very strong emotions and a lot of work for Roberto Carlos. The singer has spent the last two days filming for the special that will air next Sept. 10 on TV Globo.

* At 6:20 a.m. on Saturday, the King arrived to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Monsignor Fouad Twal – Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem – decorated him with the highest honor of the Catholic church in Israel, the Cross of Merit. And there were no flashes of any type. It was a very private moment.

* At around 3 p.m. on Sunday, Roberto Carlos stopped by the Jerusalem Archaeological Park, which was really turned into a set. Every time someone covered him with an umbrella, because the weather here is very hot. After making a pit stop there, he and Jayme Monjardim’s team went onto the Wailing Wall. Thrilled, the King put his hands on the wall and remained silent for a few minutes. Breathtaking!

* Still at the Wall, almost on his way out, the singer was approached by Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, responsible for all the holy places of the Old City. It was a relaxed meeting: "If you have the gift of song, you can reach the whole world," said the rabbi to our King. Check out the images here.
