Remember that we reported that the iconic white dress Marilyn Monroe worn in the film "The Seven Year Itch" was going to be auctioned? Well then, it was sold on Saturday and surpassed all expectations. Initially, those involved in the sale believed it would get around U.S. $ 2 million, but reality was an entirely different matter. The last bid came to the spectacular sum of U.S. $ 4.6 million.
* Another Marilyn dress, a red one worn in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", was also auctioned off for U.S. million. Crazy, right? All part of Debbie Reynolds’ collection, which was up for auction on Saturday, and included some 700 other items. Debbie has over 3,000 pieces of classic wardrobe and was forced to part with some of them due to financial problems.
