It took 11 years, but – sadly – the “Harry Potter” saga has come to an end. It’s no surprise that the franchise’s last chapter, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2", is setting a series of records around the world. In the U.S., the film has already the biggest opening of all time, grossing US$ 168.8 million in the first weekend alone. Not enough? The mega-production is also the highest grossing in the world with US$ 476 million.
* These figures make it the most watched film in history in the first 24 hours of availability and in its first weekend debut. In Brazil, history hasn’t changed all that much. According to the website "Movie B", the new "Harry Potter" is already in the first place among the most popular, second only to "Tropa de Elite 2" – it’s the second biggest opening in the country’s history – and earned nearly U.S. $ 18 million in its weekend debut.
