It was forbidden selling alcoholic beverages in the United States between 1920 and 1933. That is why, on those times, a happy hour with friends in New York had to be in hidden bars called "speakeasies". And, until today, some bars try to reproduce the climate of forbidden times.
* The Black Room is one of them. The front imitates a toy store and the lounge at the back is only for the owner’s friends… For all the other clients, the options are to have fun in the main room and have drinks that are served in tea cups. Paintings in Renaissancist and old chandeliers make the decoration. It’s worth checking.
